TestimonialsPeople who use Alphamusic
Silence of Peace: "Clients described feeling 'really quite relaxed ... in the moment'. A very useful background for a therapy session, in which clients remained focussed and calmer even when talking of quite traumatic events." Siesta in the Orange Grove: "Improved mood ... distracted from depression." My Little Sea Shell: "Helped babies who had sleeping difficulties both get off to sleep more quickly, sleep more soundly and wake later ... mothers are thrilled."
Amanda Gordon MAPS BA (Hons), "Within 5 minutes of listening on headphones add/adhd/hyperactive children were saying they felt sleepy!"
Judith Shultz, President, Wannabee Foundation The Wannabee Foundation
The Wannabee Foundation is committed to helping children and to assist parents to manage the many challenges facing families who live with young children ... who may be diagnosed/misdiagnosed as having Attention Deficit Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, Autism, or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. The Wannabee Foundation is building a multi-media network to pass on information to children, parents, teachers and child carers on natural healthy ways to improve a child's health and learning ability and the importance of love and respect for life. "John Levine is an accomplished keyboard player, very musical and inventive. His style reminds me somewhat of Keith Jarret, whose playing I love ... what he does within that style is interesting and inventive. Personally, I found much of the music to be genuinely useful in encouraging a meditative, alpha-wave state of mind and therefore calming and de-stressing."
Dr Jacques Malan, "I am so taken by John's alpha music that I not only play it in my clinic but also at home. I find the music absolutely relaxing and gives me a good night sleep. The most effective method is playing it softly then John's alphamusic just breezes into the brain."
Jack Temple, "It has been the best thing I have ever done! We have left all your CD's playing continuously for the past 2 months. All my staff love it, as they never change them from the CD player. Your alphamusic is mentally relaxing, soothing which my therapists have never heard before. Our clients come out of rooms very rested and relaxed."
Helen Mansour, Siesta in the Orange Grove: "We noticed the boys became better at working collaboratively when this music was playing. Normally, if two or three play together it ends up in a fight, but with this music on the boys would play for longer periods of time very productively." (She [the teacher] "borrows Silence of Peace to play at home when she is suffering from periods of insomnia: "very calming; it's peaceful rhythms make one fall into a nice lethargy.")
Lois Page, "We have played Silence of Peace ourselves on a number of occasions, both in the UK and here. We have also played it to a number of other people. All of us find it ... a particularly valuable aid to meditation. Your music obviously has something special and the world could benefit from more information on the impact it can have."
Joe Bar, Disaster Management specialist, "...it's like meditation without stopping to do it"
Joe Morris, Silence range : "... well suited for palliative care".
Wendy Williams,
We are pleased to announce that along with the March issue (3/03) of Samo Zdrowie has released a promotional CD with John B. Levine's music Siesta in the Orange Grove. "I'm sure that a real lucky man is someone who works for an idea and can make his living from it! There are not many people like that [but] I just met one of them and you can meet him too. He is John B. Levine, a composer and musician from Australia. You won't find his records in any music store. It's a special kind of music that can be easily called 'relaxing' ... but John's creation should not only be called that. We've been listened to many compositions while choosing the right music for our magazine's CD. They were all nice. But when John presented his music, my first impression was that you really need silence to listen to it ... the moment before falling asleep is the right circumstance to listen to this music. I truly recommend it!"
Xenia Kolinska (More than 100,000 copies of Siesta in the Orange Grove were distributed with this edition of the magazine)
"I think music in itself is healing. It's an explosive expression of humanity. It's something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we're from, everyone loves music." |
