Letters, Opinions and Testimonials : Parents...
A mother's opinion:

...how surprised I was..."
I am a Music Academy graduate and the happy mother of my almost 1-year old Kamila.
I like music and I often listen to Bach or Mozart.
In spite of that, it happens that my little daughter cries, is irritated and can't sleep.
A few days ago, I started listening to John's
" Silence of Peace" and, to my surprise, after just a few minutes Kamila fell asleep!
I started feeling sleepy too. Now I turn it on whenever I want to calm her down or relax. It works even when all the old lullabies can't help.
I recommend it to all mums.

A family's opinion:

" Silence of Peace" has had a very good influence on my daughter, who listens to it in the evenings before falling asleep.
Thanks to gentle sounds she calms down much easier and falls into a peaceful sleep.
In my opinion it's a great way to relax the baby before sleeping.
Sometimes I listen to it with my husband. It's very helpful every time we want to get some rest, relax and listen to good music.
I wish there were more records like that. We recommend it to all families!

Can music help fight insomnia?
Dorota Gadlewska from Legnica is 50-years old and the mother of two children: one from primary school and the other studying.
Dorota works in the lab where she tests human blood samples.

I like my work. However, it's sometimes very stressful.
Every day we're receiving many samples so the pace of work is quite fast.
Moreover, I often work night shifts, which involves even more stress and not enough sleep.
When an urgent case occurs, I have to cope with it by myself because I'm the only one responsible in the lab at that time.
Mrs. Dorota has suffered from sleeplessness for some time already.
Night shifts disturb the rhythm of her life and, therefore, she has problems with falling asleep at night.

I can stay awake in my bed thinking how tired I will be the next day at work.
Moreover, there are plenty of thoughts coming constantly to my mind. Usually bad ones.
I'm worried about my family, thinking about my student daughter's future and how she's going to cope with her new situation.
I also worry about my family's finances because we have to support our daughter while she's studying.
And about my husband's health since he went through pneumonia recently.
Sleeplessness affects 25% of the Polish population. But do we really have to take tranquilizers straight away? Alphamusic offers a gentle yet powerfully effective opportunity to relax and sleep in a completely natural way. The music has a similar impact to meditation. .
" Silence of Peace" let me go into a state of deep relaxation where it was easy to calm down and go to sleep.

In the beginning, I was questioning the influence that this music was supposed to have on me.
I didn't believe in its therapeutic power. Nowadays you can get relaxing music in every supermarket... but how was this supposed to help me?
One sleepless night I had enough. I felt apathetic and worn out, with completely no vigour.
So I decided to think of myself. I thought that even if it's not going to help me, it's not going to harm me either.
So, first, I turned it on in the middle of the day, when I could concentrate only on myself.
The music made me fall into a nice lethargy, although in the beginning I couldn't stop thinking about my problems, and obligations, etc.
However, after a few minutes I became more relaxed and started to feel its peaceful rhythm. I
was listening intently to its piano sounds. I loved the voice in the background - so calm, deep and strong.
It's amazing that it doesn't interfere with the music and does not disturb the combined process of relaxing and concentration.
What did disturb me was that all the instructions were given in English and it was difficult for me to follow them all as I don't
know that language very well. I suppose a Polish version would influence me even better.
The music helped me to listen intently to myself, hear my heart beating and regularly breathe.
How strange it is to experience it - we don't usually pay attention to our breath.
After a longer while of being under the music's influence, nice visions started to come to my mind. I felt as if I were on the beach.
I love the sea, so it's one of the most beautiful visions that I could expect. I could almost feel a cool sea breeze and the smell of water.
For a moment, it was as if I were in a magical land and I was amazed how easy I had achieved it. It also made me
realize how important it is for all of us to set our minds free for at least a while every day.
Living in stress is so unhealthy and can only result in more problems, so we need to take care of our mental health.
After a while, with this music, I felt more relaxed, happier and with much more energy than usual.
In the evening,
when my problems with sleeplessness came back, I listened again to
"Silence of Peace" on my headphones.
I didn't fall asleep straight away (with a problem like insomnia I wasn't expecting a fast remedy), but every minute my
mind was more and more relaxed, and after a while I fell asleep listening to John's soothing voice.
I wish to have more time every day to spend it listening to this music.
But I'm aware that music is just the first step for me to learn how to relax and slow my heartbeat down.
I know that the "Silence of Peace" can help me achieve it. It will definitely be easier to relax with such a gentle and soothing music.
I'm happy to have discovered its therapeutic power and I will recommend it to my friends the more so, because
many of them suffer from the same problems as I do.
